Tomorrow’s first meeting of the new Southern Downs Regional Council will be live-streamed to the public on the council’s Facebook page due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The newly-elected councillors – Mayor Vic Pennisi, Ross Bartley, Cameron Gow, Jo McNally, Andrew Gale, Sheryl Windle, Marco Gliori, Cynthia McDonald and Stephen Tancred – will meet via video-link with the meeting scheduled to start at 9am tomorrow, Wednesday 15 April.
Media will also be required to observe the meeting via live-streaming.
A key item on the meeting agenda will be the election of a Deputy Mayor. Updates will follow online on the Free Times website at www.freetimes.com.au
