Zack Lockes Flock, who earlier this year participated in coastrek, are raising money for Borderline Australia through their upcoming ’Colour Me Happy – Take a Walk on the Bright Side with Zack Lockes Flock’ event this weekend.
The community event will take place during National Mental Health Awareness Month on 2 October.
For the early risers, Cherrabah are going to hold markets from 8am with a variety of stall holders. Those wishing to participate in the colour run will be asked to gather by 10am for a safety briefing and warm up before the 10.30am start of the colour run/walk. White T-shirts in a variety of adult sizes will be available for purchase prior to the event for $5. Bright yellow sunglasses have been generously donated for participants in the colour run by local business Ryanie for Tyres.
’Colour Me Happy’ will be a colourfully explosive fun-filled run/walk like no other going cross-country through the very scenic Cherrabah resort. Commencing with a run under the spray provided by the Wildash Fire Brigade, the route will take participants past the rustic slab hut, through colour stations and even a coloured hair station sponsored by the Warwick Friendly Society Pharmacies, along the dam wall, past a wellness station with water donated by PCYC Braking the Cycle, and past the barn to end up at the magnificent fig tree arbour. Selfie and other photo opportunities abound so make sure your phone is charged and don’t forget to hashtag Zack Lockes Flock when you upload your photos.
Bring a picnic rug to wind back and relax after the colour run, because your afternoon is also covered. Cherrabah will have steak sangas and sausage sizzles available for purchase as well as a full bar, with cash and eftpos facilities available. Nash will provide four hours of live entertainment after the colour run. A face painting team from Scots PGC will also be set up for anyone who still wants to add a little more colour to their day.
If anyone wants to bring their fishing gear they can try their luck at the lake for just $2 for restocking purposes. Kayaking and tennis is also available as regular activities run by Cherrabah. Borderline Australia have organised some great raffle prizes including a cane from the movie The Greatest Showman and passes to The Outback Spectacular.
’Colour Me Happy – Take a Walk on the Bright aside with Zack Lockes Flock’ is a fantastic colourful family fun way to wrap up the school holidays. For those wishing to make the most of the long weekend camping is available with bookings direct to Cherrabah Resort.

Tickets for the colour run and afternoon’s entertainment are just $10 per person or $50 per group of six and are available through Eventbrite. Raffle tickets are also available through Eventbrite or on the day.
All monies raised by Zack Lockes Flock from the ‘Colour Me Happy’ colour run/walk will be donated by Zack Locke Flock as sponsorship for local youth and young adults to attend Borderline Camps.
