High-tech art

Severnlea State School hosted a highly successful art exhibition of students’ work recently.

SEVERNLEA State School recently held an art show to recognise the students’ artistic achievements on 15 September.

The school’s principal Cameron Brown said the afternoon event was a wonderful way for the community to meet and greet over a glass of wine and cheese.
“The amazing work of the students was well received and most visitors needed to go through the art show a couple of times to take in the exceptional work completed by the Severnlea students,” he said.
“This year the students used a range of mediums like paint, pencil and wool and tried to create different looks.
“The students also engaged in technology and used iPads to create art, which was very effective.”
Mr Brown said the students should feel proud of their work and the creativity they demonstrated throughout the year.
