Poppies makes sure that we remember

Fay Helwig's stunning poppy fields at Glen Aplin.

FAY Helwig’s amazing Flanders poppies WWI Remembrance Fields at Glen Aplin on the Granite Belt is open free to the public in the lead-up to Remembrance Day, next Friday 11 November.
Fay says that she recognised in 1995 that the Granite Belt district was not only unique within Australia, but also in the Southern Hemisphere and no other district possessed the historical battlefield placenames and a climate that allows the Flanders poppies to bloom for Remembrance Day.
The poppy fields are at Fay’s property at 113 Mt Stirling Road, Glen Aplin.
