Warwick Lifeline Shop closes

After almost 14 years of operating in Warwick, a decision has been made to close the Lifeline Clothing Shop on June 17.
Lifeline chief executive officer Derek Tuffield said sadly the shop situated at 28 King Street, Warwick, had struggled financially over the past several years.
“Over the past few years the area in which the shop is located has experienced the closure and relocation of other businesses, as the main trading centre of Warwick is clearly on the western side of Albion Street,” Mr Tuffield said. “We certainly explored the possibility of relocating our shop but couldn’t secure what we saw as a suitable trading site.”
Lifeline will continue to provide valuable services to Warwick via their Personal Helpers and Mentors Service and their national coverage of their 24/7 Telephone Counselling Service.
“The decision to close the Lifeline Warwick Shop after 14 years has not been taken lightly,” Mr Tuffield said.
“In a difficult and challenging financial environment, tough decisions need to be made.
“We will continue to support the Warwick residents via our mobile Country Clothing Sales and we sincerely thank the wider Warwick community for their continued support of our services,” he said.
Special thanks go out to past and present volunteers and staff who have been invaluable over the years.
