Bloomin’ marvellous

By ALENA HIGGINS

WINNERS were grinners at the Warwick Horticultural Society’s annual Spring Flower Festival presentation ceremony last week.
Deputy mayor Ross Bartley was on hand to present the trophies and plaques to flower show and garden place-getters at St Mary’s Hall last Thursday.
Society secretary Margot Cory said the show was one of the best in recent years.
“It was wonderful. We had something like 442 exhibits and over 214 in the rose section,” she said.
“We really treasure the exhibitors and greatly hope they will all come back next year.”
Helen Murray and Bob Moore of Brisbane judged the flower show.
The final segment of the iconic event – the floral window competition – will be judged tomorrow.
