Under Eights Week took place between May 21 and May 28 and to celebrate the theme ‘Living Diversity – Act Locally, Think Globally’, Stanthorpe State School’s under eights took part in an amazing reading event.
Hosted by the Stanthorpe Library, the students participated in the National Simultaneous Storytime.
Southern Downs regional librarian Marianne Potter took charge of all the Prep and Year one classes, gathering them together in the cosy surrounds of the Prep Precinct where they delighted in some exciting story telling.
A sea of delighted faces greeted Ms Potter as she took to the reading chair, bringing the room to life with a brand new adventure.
Students even donned a fabulous, specially made headdress for the occasion, adding some extra colour and cheer to the room.
