THE council elections were, in two words, “organised chaos”.
There is no other explanation for the distorted privacy and organisational incompetence that has bedevilled what should have been an everyday activity for the Electoral Commission Queensland.
There were too many intertwining blunders to be ignored and this writer calls upon the ECQ to redo the entire election.
Too much depends on the result, for the rate payers burdened by massive debt carried by council, to trust an election result with this degree of incompetence.
