Pistols rifles and finally shotguns

In the beginning there were pistols, then rifles and finally came the shotguns. This was the order of events for the SSAA Inglewood shoot triathlon, designed as a team event as a Father’s Day shoot.
The pistol event was keenly contested with 14 competitors including juniors.  Pistol and rifle comprised 20 shots each, using.22 calibre rimfire ammo, clay targets; a 25 compac clay event.
Steven Drier took out the pistol event with a score of 171/200 from Tom Donald 150/200 and Paul Drier 147/200.
Quentin Chapman with 197/200 edged out Tom Donald 192/200 narrowly ahead of Paul Drier 191/200 in the Rifle event.
Tom Donald reversed the placings in the Clay’s to get into the winner’s circle with a score of 13/25 ahead of Quentin Chapman 11/25 and Martin Unwin also on 11/25 who went down in a shoot off.
Overall Team winners were Joel Dreier and Quentin Chapman; Best Rifle Quentin Chapman; Best Pistol Steven Dreier; Best Clays Tom Donald; Best Junior overall Ashley Unwin; Best Adult overall Joel Dreier. A delicious repast was prepared by Quentin Chapman, smoked roast pork and roast lamb with salad. At least no-one went home hungry.
This weekend several members including president Tom Donald will be attending the SSAA State Conference.  If any member has any issues or questions they wish to have raised at the conference please contact the club secretary Sharon Unwin.
