Carnarvon Bridge turns 100 01/02/2022 Facebook The concrete bridge was opened during Stanthorpe's 50th Jubilee in 1922 and named after the Secretary of State, 4th Earl of Carnavon. This new bridge replaced an old wooden structure that was opened on the 22 February 1878 and demolished in 1922. Clintin's Folly, a causeway, is to the left of the bridge and was constructed in 1875.
