I’d like to say a big thank you and congratulations to Maggie & Graham Stokes for providing such a great venue for the first annual Goomburra Stampede.
The weekend was a monumental success with folk travelling from all over Australia to attend. Comments heard all weekend were “what a beautiful place” “great job done by Maggie & Graham” “great singers” “great band” “great sound”.
A band of volunteers helped whenever needed, it is always so good to see people working together so well.
I hope the Council get behind Maggie next year and really support such a good promotion for our local area.
The folk manning the gate couldn’t hear the music so I doubt any neighbours or wildlife were disturbed.
Everyone I spoke to is looking forward to next year’s event. Well done.
