Students run the School of Total Education for a day

This week I had the opportunity of being a part of ‘Year 9 Run the School Day’.

There were many different jobs to choose from with only three sessions available in the day. I ended up choosing to teach English to the little ones in grades 1 and 2, become a photographer, and run the school as the Principal.

I had a great time teaching the kids and helping them with their spelling and grammar. I found it to be a great chance to become closer with the kids and learn a little more about them. On the other hand, it was very interesting to see it from the other side as the Principal, scolding two kids for breaking a window in a fake scenario. All up the day was a lot of fun with a good balance of learning the ropes of the job and joking around with my peers.
