Southern Downs ARK has a number of dogs and cats up for adoption. This week we’re highlighting Atari, a medium male Ridgeback x Kelpie mix dog.
Introducing ATARI, a sweet-natured, lively and affectionate Ridgeback x Kelpie born on 30 April 2022.
Atari loves humans and is good with children. However, given his breed mix, we think he’ll probably end up being a bit too big and strong for little ones.
He is dog and cat friendly.
Atari loves food and, being food-driven and very clever, he’s highly trainable. He’s house-trained and is learning to walk on a lead, but has only just begun his training journey.
He doesn’t jump fences and is accustomed to living outside most of the time, but loves to come inside for cuddles and pats when permitted.
Preference will be given to a home where someone is around most of the time and where there is at least one other compatible dog for him to play with.
Prior experience with Ridgebacks will be well regarded.
Atari’s adoption fee is $550 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Atari lives in a private foster home in Warwick, Queensland and is available for interstate adoption. A virtual meet and greet may be offered to approved applicants.
