Wattles claim preseason bragging rights

Wattles have claimed bragging rights against rivals Warwick heading into the TRL season.

The Wattles “A” Grade side comprehensively defeated the Warwick Cowboys in the Barrett Family Shield pre-season trial at Warwick’s Father Ranger Oval last Saturday night.

The 38-10 score line will certainly give the Wattles players and supporters plenty of confidence as they shape up for the competition proper in a few weeks.

The Cowboys look to have some work to do but premierships are not won in preseason games.

Wattles team

Back: Luke Duggan (Coach), Jimmy Johnson, Xavier Manley, Pat Manley, Joel Koina, Luke Baker, Tim Hentschel, Ross Hentschel, Matt Duggan, Mitch Koina, Matt McCarthy.

Front: Michael Duggan, Kai Duggan (mascot), Jackson Green, Ryan Duggan, Mitch Hannant, Liam Ross, Glen McMillan (Captain), Aaron Scheid.
