Among the ranked boxing professionals is exciting undefeated Southern Downs local Jake Wylie, while all Pro Team members will have their prized championship belts on display.

After Covid-19 concerns saw last year’s Allora Show cancelled, the display of pugilistic skills courtesy of the Fortitude Allora Boxing Club is back this Saturday in the ring within the Showgrounds pavilion.

“The boxing display featuring some of the best in the business adds much to the highlights of the coming Allora Annual Show according Show Society President Shirley Cornhill.

Demonstrations by Steve Deller’s Pro Team starts at 3 pm on Show Saturday in the Show pavilion, and everyone is welcome to meet Steve and his team for a chat and glovework tips.

A highlight of the display will be demonstrations by the professionals up against promising locals from the Allora club.

Shane Cartwright, Garry Wilson and Jay Levitt are local achievers likely to test their skills against their Pro Team counterparts.

Coach Liesegang has performed admirably in his efforts starting the growing Fortitude Allora Boxing Club, and is certainly stoked to be able host the presentation at the Allora Show.

“It’s a tremendous commitment by Steve and his established boxers to attend the Show again this year, it certainly promotes a great sport throughout a very enthusiastic community.”

“Boxing boasts a considerable history across the Allora and Southern Downs region” said Peter, “our local club has a growing male and female membership aged from early primary school to adults in their 70’s learning the art of boxing and focusing on fitness.”

Peter extends an open invitation to all attending the Show, or with an interest, to roll up ring side and support the Pro Team members along with Allora’s young boxers on the rise as they pursue their endeavours
