Up all night to get Loki

Loki the blue heeler.

Please meet Loki, a true-blue Aussie Cattle Dog born in May 2021.

Ark’s Animal of the Week has been very well socialised during his short life and it shows. He’s a friendly, playful, well-mannered and affectionate boy. He loves humans, is great with kids and thrives in the company of other dogs. He settled into his foster home very easily and looking at him now, anyone would think he’s always lived there.

Loki walks well on a lead, to the extent that his human foster brothers, aged 10 and 11, can take him for a walk, although he can be a bit reactive if another dog barks at him through the fence.

He’s used to being an inside-outside dog.

He has moderate exercise needs, which would be most easily satisfied if he has another compatible dog to play with and a good-sized backyard to play in. He’s a relatively placid chap and snoozes for a good part of the day.

He doesn’t jump fences and barks only when the postie comes, a noisy motorbike goes by or a stranger arrives at the door.

The ideal home for Loki is one where he has the company of another energetic dog and plenty of space for self-exercise. If his family is home most of the time, he’d love that, too.

Loyal, smart, tenacious and alert, Loki is everything a Cattle Dog lover could want.

Those interested in meeting him, please complete the online application form at southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Kindly ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
