What a corker

Corker the Kelpie is ready for his forever home.

Introducing Corker, one of seven absolutely adorable Kelpie puppies from The Aussie Slang Litter. They were born on 11 January 2023.

Sweet-natured, gentle and affectionate, Corker has a classic black and tan coat with a slight wave across his back.

Kelpies can make great family pets, loyal companions and excellent watchdogs. They have an exceptionally high IQ and may get into mischief if left to their own devices.

The secret to bringing the best out in a kelpie is to keep him occupied and well loved. A kelpie’s greatest joy is the love and attention of an active owner or family, while his greatest disappointment is inactivity and lack of attention.

Kelpies are eager to please and extremely loyal. Wherever their humans are, that’s where they want to be too – whether that’s out in a boat, in the back of a car, going for a walk, training for agility competitions or herding, or just watching television in the evening.

To be happy and content, Corker will need plenty of vigorous daily exercise and play, which is more achievable if he shares his home with another active dog. As always, secure fencing is a must.

Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and there is another compatible dog for Corker to play with. Previous breed experience will be well regarded. Corker is not available to full-time workers.

For those interested in meeting this lovely pup and can offer him a suitable, safe and loving forever home, please complete the Online adoption application at southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of the volunteers will be in touch.

Corker’s adoption fee is $750. He is desexed, chipped and vaccinated
