Once a rite of passage to adulthood and still a beloved tradition in Stanthorpe is the St Joseph’s Parish Debutante Ball.

On Saturday night (6 May), 17 young ladies were a vision in white as they made their debut at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre. They were presented to Father Salvador Fernandez then danced with their partners, who all wore suits with matching blue ties and pocket squares.

Dignitaries on the night included Father Salvador Fernandez, Matron Angelina Sims, MC Megan Mahoney, organising committee leader Gianna Zanatta-Blaxland … and four gorgeous flower girls.

Music on the night was by Smooth Talk.
