Chamber of Commerce Warwick is set to mark Small Business Month with a Business at Dusk event hosted by Anderson’s Carpet on 17 May.

These events are being put on to give the local business community the opportunity to network and collaborate and to also showcase their business.

Participants will be able to see all the latest in renovation trends and walk through both Andersen Carpets and Flooring and Beaumont Tiles.

Already this month the group has held a networking breakfast with guest speaker Maria Baker from Macintyre Wind Farm Precinct.

Maria discussed the tender processes, employment opportunities and community engagement.

The breakfast, at The Dairy Lounge Warwick, was well attended despite the minus temperatures and allowed attendees the opportunity to gain insight to what is happening at the precinct as well as networking with fellow businesses in the region.

It will be a busy small business month for Chamber of Commerce Warwick who is reaching out to local members and offering the opportunity for them to be featured on their social media campaign during along with working on contributing to their newly created monthly newsletter.

Finishing off the month will be a collaboration between the Warwick Chamber of Commerce and Skye Consultancy Studio delivering a newly created event – Regional Connections.

Skye Consultancy Studio Owner Teilah Mckelvey said Regional Connections was inspired by successful events in other regions.

“This event has come about from seeing all the amazing events hosted in Toowoomba and Brisbane and wanting the same thing here in Warwick,” she said.

Teilah has invited a collection of guest speakers from a variety of different fields to offer inspiration and insight.

The guest speakers include with Isa Rodeo CEO Natalie Flecker, who has continued to run a successful event in Outback Australia year after year and now a new addition, the Road to Rodeo.

Also speaking is Dallas Davidson, a Killarney girl at heart, is Head of Marketing and Events for Towri Sheep Cheese. Dallas and her family have diversified their agritourism business and now have a thriving business in the Scenic Rim.

The final guest speaker is local photographer Renee Mulcahy who has a booming photography business and travels across Australia shooting weddings and capturing families precious memories.

Teilah said that by opting for a Q&A panel it meant there was freedom for open conversation and genuine engagement. As well as the guest speakers, local author Susan Mackie will read an excerpt from her latest book “The Bee Whisperer” which you will be available at the event.

The event, to be held at St Mark’s Hall from 5.30pm, will be catered by Southern Downs Catering with food included in the ticket price.
