A happy atmosphere prevailed at a special event put on for Jumpers and Jazz in July sponsors last week.

It was only the tables that were groaning and that was because of the overflowing charcuterie boards!

On Thursday night (1 June) about 80 people gathered at the Churches of Christ auditorium for the official launch of the 2023 program for the winter yarnbombing and jazz festival.

Jumpers and Jazz in July president Pam Burley handed out certificates to sponsors and thanked them, saying, “We couldn’t do it without you.”

During the event Izelle Barnard, Communications and Marketing Co-ordinator for the Southern Downs Regional Council, presented the Southern Downs App, which promotes Jumpers and Jazz in July on its platform every day from 20 to 30 July.

Noo Shepherd and the One Table Café at Churches of Christ did the catering and Southern Downs Town Crier Bob Townshend was there to ring the bell on behalf of the festival and lend a touch of theatre to the function.
