While National Pyjama Day officially took place on Friday, 21 July, Allora State School decided to extend the cozy celebration to Friday, 4 August. Students and teachers alike donned their comfiest sleepwear, straying from the usual uniforms and business casual attire, to raise awareness and funds for children in need.
The initiative, organised by The Pyjama Foundation, aims to support children in foster care by providing them with education, life skills, and confidence. National Pyjama Day serves as a platform to highlight the foundation’s efforts and raise funds for their valuable services.
National Brand and marketing campaign manager, Carina Setiveau said the significance of National Pyjama Day in spreading awareness about the foundation’s mission.
“There are children who are less fortunate, and we have Pyjama Angels who are able to help these kids one-on-one,“ she said
“We always try to get that positive message out to the kids, saying there are people willing to help the less fortunate.“
Allora State School’s enthusiastic participation in National Pyjama Day exemplifies their commitment to creating a world of unlimited opportunities for all children, aligning with the vision of The Pyjama Foundation.
