GTT celebrates with graduates

Gateway To Training in Goondiwindi, St George, Warwick and Stanthorpe held its 2023 Celebrations of Success for 75 graduates in the week before Christmas. .

GTT executive officer Jodi Toohey said it was always a highlight, celebrating with the graduates at the end of every year.

“What makes these programs so great is that we cater to the needs of each individual person, whatever skill level or experience they have coming in,” said Ms Toohey.

“Our project officers work with participants one-on-one to provide guidance and support as needed.

We are excited to celebrate with them this week, and very proud to have been part of their journey.

“The programs are funded by the Queensland Government Skilling Queenslanders For Work project, and as such we are able to provide free access to certificate level qualifications and work skills assistance.”

Since 2015, GTT have put over 900 people through the three programs and they are now taking enrolments for 2024.

There are programs to suit all ages and stages, from school leavers wanting confidence and skills for employment in the Ready For Work program, to a Certificate II in Workplace Skills through the Get Set For Work program for young people preparing for work, or a Certificate III in either Business, Community Services or Hospitality in Warwick and Stanthorpe, for all ages.

Each program includes personalised assistance and provide free resumes, job connections and more, including 3 months of post program support.”

The Celebrations of Success were attended by the graduates, GTT staff, SILO Committee members and dignitaries.
