Welcoming our fresh face

By Lucy Waldron

You may have seen her wearing blue representing the Warwick Credit Union but now she wears a different shade and that is the colour of Warwick Today-Stanthorpe Today.

Born in Murwillumbah, NSW, Courtney Walsh spent her early years there before moving to North Star and eventually settling in Warwick at the age of 12.

Her deep affection for the town has kept her firmly rooted.

“I love that Warwick has everything I need but it still has the community feel to it,” Courtney said.

“It’s a good feeling walking down the street and getting smiles from all the locals I’ve met during my time living here.”

Courtney’s involvement in the community began during her time at Warwick Credit Union, where she attended numerous events on behalf of the company.

“I was initially hired to cover a customer service maternity leave role and eventually was offered a permanent position which then turned into a marketing role,” she said.

“The credit union taught me many things and I am very appreciative of the  experience and friendships I gained.”

However, after five years and a difficult decision, Courtney decided it was time to seek new opportunities in the marketing and advertising field.

Welcome Courtney Walsh as Warwick Today Stanthorpe Today’s new advertising sales executive!

“I hope to bring as much enthusiasm to my new role as I did to my previous role and I know the team are going to help me grow my skillset tenfold,” Courtney said.

Already a week and a half on the job and she has taken to it like a moth to a flame.

“I am looking forward to meeting and building relationships with local people, businesses and organisations I have yet to meet,” she said.

“While also reconnecting with those I have developed over the years and working with them in a new dynamic.”

Keep an eye out for Courtney at events and walking around the town, now proudly representing Warwick Today-Stanthorpe Today.
