It was two days filled with fundraising and community support for the Endeavour Foundation and its sponsors.

The Warwick community came together on 14-15 June to support the Endeavour Foundation through two major fundraising events: the Charity Golf Day at Warwick Golf Club and the Picnic Races at the Warwick Turf Club.

Geoff Lang, representing the Transport Field Service sponsor for Endeavour Foundation, said it was a highly successful two days of fundraising.

“At the golf day, we should have cleared four grand and another eight from the race day, so we’ve raised about 12 grand so far this year,” Geoff said.

Geoff has been a supporter of the Endeavour Foundation since 2016, and his son, Tim Lang, has also been actively involved. Tim has raised about $18,000 for the foundation prior to this year. This year will mark Tim and his partner Michaela’s fourth rally.

Tim said he was participating in the Great Endeavour Rally to raise funds and awareness for people with disability to live their best life and realise their dreams, through more significant support, inclusion, and understanding.

During the picnic races, advertising spaces on the cars were auctioned off, adding to the fundraising success. Geoff highlighted the community’s involvement, noting that all donations came from local companies and individuals.

“We thank everyone for their support at both the golf day and the Warwick picnic races,” he said.

The Charity Golf Day’s success has inspired plans for future events. Geoff mentioned that they are already considering running the event again next year, with improvements to attract more numbers.

The Great Endeavour Rally is an adventure through various parts of Australia, fostering camaraderie and community spirit among its participants. It is not a race or time trial but a journey supporting people with disabilities.

With the rally starting in August, the Lang family is preparing for another remarkable adventure, continuing their dedication to the Endeavour Foundation.
