Veteran team Panthers have held on to win the opening round of the Supercamp Cup Basketball competition held at Wirac on 18 July.

The side put in a solid performance to beat the up and coming young Giddy Gang 42-35.

“The Panthers were celebrating the addition of veteran Josh Cremasco, who contributed four points to the game,” competition organiser Pop Dickerson said.

“Josh’s addition is expected to make the Panthers the prohibitive favorites to win the Cup. Glen Cruda was in fine form, scoring 15 of his 17 points for the Panthers in the first half.”
