Investigations have been launched into the death of a 21-year-old Brisbane woman whose body police found at the foot of a cliff in the Goomburra Valley on Friday morning.

Police said the woman had been camping at a campground on Inverramsay Road where she was declared missing at about 11.40pm on 8 August.

Authorities later found her deceased body at about 8am the next morning after a full scale land and air search operation.

She had been camping with one other man, police said.

Warwick police officer in charge Sergeant Tim Hoffman said investigations into her death were underway.

“At this stage, police are making investigations in relation to it,” Sgt Hoffmann said.

“We’re covering all bases and the investigation is still ongoing.”

Sgt Hoffman said the woman had been reported “missing from a lookout”.

“Her body was found at the bottom of a cliff,” he said.

“Police located it after she was reported missing from the area and police are just conducting inquiries in relation to that.”

Police will prepare a report for the coroner.
