Allora celebrates heritage

The 2025 Heritage Weekend is set to once again make Allora a hub of activity on the Australia Day weekend, 25-26 January.

Thousands of visitors are expected to converge on the town and its picturesque showgrounds, bringing with them an array of historical vehicles and machinery.

The event offers a unique opportunity to step back in time, celebrating the pivotal role that vintage vehicles, machinery, and equipment have played in shaping rural Australia’s development. For over three decades, the Heritage Weekend has provided a glimpse into the past, capturing the imagination of attendees from near and far.

The Allora Heritage Weekend is recognised internationally, even gaining attention in historical machinery publications abroad. What began as a small, local gathering has grown into a much-anticipated annual event, renowned for its detailed displays and wide appeal.

Each year, the event highlights specific machinery, and 2025 will be no exception. This year’s featured items include 1000 Series Ford tractors, D Model Ford Louisville trucks, classic 1960s Holden, Valiant, and Falcon cars, Crosley-Challenger engines, and Matchless motorcycles. These exhibits, along with countless other vintage items, are expected to attract enthusiasts and collectors alike.

The Heritage Weekend offers something for everyone, with displays of vintage and veteran cars, motorcycles, and trucks, as well as historical machinery and antiques of all kinds. A bustling swap meet will also take place over the two days, providing opportunities for visitors to discover unique treasures and memorabilia.

Admission: $10 per day for adults; children enter free.
