STANTHORPE police called off the pursuit of a Daihatsu sedan in High Street on Wednesday19 February after the car was driven dangerously from an intended police intercept.
The vehicle was again sighted later that night and its female driver was charged with stealing a mobile phone from a Stanthorpe business earlier that day.

Drug offences
A 30-YEAR-OLD Toowoomba man was stopped by Stanthorpe Police walking over Carnarvon Bridge on Thursday 20 February.
After further inquiries, they charged him with a number of offences including dangerous operation of a vehicle, evading police and possessing dangerous drugs after cannabis was located in his vehicle.

Over the limit
TWO drink drivers were caught by police during the past week in Stanthorpe.
A 62-year-old local man was intercepted in High Street at 1pm on Monday 17 February and later charged with driving while having a concentration of .071 per cent.
At 1.20am on Sunday morning police pulled over a Suzuki hatch in Matthew Street and charged its 28-year-old female driver after she recorded .164 per cent on the breathalyser.

Youth charged
STANTHORPE police have charged a 17-year-old man from the Gold Coast after he allegedly threatened management at the Stanthorpe Caravan Park on 18 February.
He was charged with committing a Public Nuisance offence and issued an infringement notice.

Lucky escape
EMERGENCY services responded to a single vehicle rollover accident in Townsend Road, Glen Aplin at about 12.30pm on Friday, 21 February.
The 51-year-old driver was treated for shoc,k however did not sustain any serious injury.
