INGLEWOOD pharmacist Rebecca Giudice was named Pharmacy Leader of the Year at the 2014 awards held on the Gold Coast earlier this month.
Spokesman Gary Dunne said the Sigma conference notched up its biggest ever record attendance, with Amcal, Amcal Max and Guardian members discussing industry issues and strategic direction.
“The conference culminated in our Gala Awards night where banner members were recognised for excellence,” he said.
“The centrepiece of the conference was the structured launch of professional services including a world first in kidney health for pharmacy.”
Ms Giudice was one of many winners recognised at the conference. Other awards included the National Pharmacy of the Year, National Retail Manager of the Year, and National Pharmacy Assistant of the Year.
Mr Dunne said the success of the Amcal Chemist in Inglewood, could be attributed to its knowledgeable and dedicated staff.
They have set high standards in providing the best customer service, community interaction, and overall consistent health services to people in the area, he said.
“The store has been designed around those standards which make the customer feel very important, and highly trained staff is there to help people with their needs and deliver on the brand name and promises,” Ms Giudice said.
