The Warwick Automotive Group Picnic Races will return to Picklebet Allman Park Warwick on Saturday, 13 June 2026, bringing with it one of the region’s most cherished race day traditions, a winter afternoon of country racing, social connection, fashion and food.
Long regarded as one of Warwick Turf Club’s signature social events, the Picnic Races have always been about more than what happens on the track. They are about the tables that are dressed before the gates open, the groups who plan their outfits weeks in advance, the local businesses who throw their support behind the day, and the generations of families and friends who continue to make Picnic Races a highlight of the Warwick calendar.
This year, the Warwick Turf Club has reviewed its ticket packages with a strong community focus, adjusting pricing in recognition of the cost-of-living pressures currently being felt by many households. The Club has made it clear that the decision is about ensuring people can still come together, enjoy a day at the races, and remain part of the social fabric that makes country racing so important to regional communities.
The Kidszone Australia Trackside Pavilion package will be available for $45 per person for patrons aged 18 and over. This ticket includes racecourse entry, pavilion access, reserved table seating, private bar facilities, in-venue screens, betting facilities, live entertainment by FineTuned Music, easy access to the Warwick Hotel & The Strand Fashions on the Field, and entry into the Ray White Rural Warwick Best Dressed Table competition.
A much-loved Picnic Races tradition, table decorating will again be welcomed in 2026, with gates open from 7:00am to 10:30am for those wishing to decorate. The Ray White Rural Warwick Best Dressed Table winner will receive a $500 cash prize, adding another layer of friendly competition and creativity to the day.
For those who prefer to be right in the action, general admission has been set at $15 per adult, with children aged 17 and under admitted free. General Admission includes racecourse entry, live entertainment by FineTuned Music, bars, onsite TAB and bookies, and food options from Top Paddock Catering. General Admission patrons will not have access to the Kidszone Australia Trackside Pavilion during the race day, but may enter after the last race.
Adding to the traditional picnic feel, patrons can also pre-purchase a Picnic Ploughman’s Lunch by Top Paddock Catering for $275, serving 10 people and delivered to tables between 1:00pm and 2:00pm.
For Warwick Turf Club, the 2026 Picnic Races are shaping as a celebration of everything country racing does best: great racing, genuine hospitality, local pride and a community that continues to show up for one another.
With winter racewear, fashions, live music, decorated tables and the unmistakable atmosphere of Picklebet Allman Park Warwick, the Warwick Automotive Group Picnic Races are set to be one of the must-attend race days of 2026.
