• Electricity Supply for Wallangarra: “Negotiations have been successfully finalised for electricity supply to Wallangarra by means of a transmission line from Tenterfield Shire Council has received approval from the New South Wales Government. Authorities hope to raise a loan of £22,000 to finance the purchase of the plant and carrying out the necessary extensions.”

• Stanthorpe to have water supply Council unanimously decides to proceed. Cost up to £145,000 since report submitted by Jack Mulholland in April last the rise in the basic wage and 40 hours week had increased cost from £131,000. Maximum government subsidy of 33 1/3 (loan 30-40 years).
