Lilly – loyal, loving, clever

Meet Lilly.

Looking for a loyal and loving companion dog?

Then please meet Lilly, a highly affectionate Ridgeback/Mastiff mix, born in October 2021. Robust and muscular, Lilly weighs 25.7 kgs but probably still has a little growing to do.

Lilly is the Ark Animal of the Week.

Lilly quickly settled into her new foster home and has shown that she loves people, is great with kids, and gets on well with other dogs, though she does like to be boss. Given her breed mix, it’s not surprising that she’s confident with other dogs and has already secured her spot in the pecking order.

She’s less keen on the resident cat, but prefers to ignore, rather than chase him.

Lilly greeted our photographer with enthusiasm, as she does all visitors to her foster home, and happily posed with her foster mum. There was no need for a collar and lead on this girl. She’s cooperative and keen to please.

The ideal home for Lilly is with an experienced dog-lover who can provide her with the leadership and guidance that a dog of her strength and breed mix needs and who is home most of the time.

Lilly would be fine as an “only dog”. As always, secure fencing is a must.

If you are interested in meeting this intelligent and affectionate youngster and can offer her a suitable, safe and loving forever home, please complete the online adoption application at southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

Lilly’s adoption fee is $550. She is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.

She is available for interstate adoption if applicants are prepared to travel to Warwick to meet her.
