Xavier Duff and Chris Hynes chose to honour the past while looking to the future when they chose St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Stanthorpe for their wedding on 22 October.
The venue was particularly close to the groom’s heart with his grandparents getting married there 67 years ago. Ironically Chris is the one from Warwick while his bride is the Stanthorpe local but it was a beautiful gesture in what was a beautiful family day for the young couple.
Xavier the oldest daughter of Lin and Kevin Duff was attended by her sister Soraya Duff who was Maid of honor for the wedding with Shannon Coleman, Adele Warry and Alison Hernandez as bridesmaids.
Chris, second oldest son of Sue and Peter Hynes, chose his twin brother Ben as best man with Chris Duff and Josh and Dan Hynes as his groomsmen.
Brittanyjaynephotography captured the wedding which Xavier described as “a lovely day celebrating with friends and family”.
“As per usual stanthorpe was unpredicatble with the weather having a cold 13 degree day but made for lovely photos in the railway garden,” Xavier said.
“Lace and Barrell did a beautiful job with the decorating and flowers. And Gingernut sweets made a very impressive cake.
“Seventy-eight sound made for great entertainment and kept everyone up on the dance floor all night.
“The day was everything we could have dreamed of.
“The night was full of fun with our closest people.
“It was very special to us to be married in St Josephs Church as Chris’s Grandparents were married there 67 years ago.”
