Zonta helps Protea Place

Members from Zonta Stanthorpe attended the opening of Protea Place Women’s Support Centre in Warwick on 31 July.

This is a community funded project which Zonta Stanthorpe has contributed to, and we look forward to further supporting this much needed facility.

September will be a busy month for Zonta members. To raise funds to enable us to financially support our service and advocacy projects we will be selling Cheese Platter boxes at Murphy’s Pigs event on Saturday 9 September.

Zonta Stanthorpe will be represented by Sandy Venn-Brown, Edith Boccari, and myself at the Zonta District 22 Conference in Mackay 8-10 September. We look forward to networking with representatives from the 43 clubs in our district and learning more about Zonta projects and sharing our experience with members on our return.

Plans are under way for our Annual Pink Luncheon a Fundraiser for Breast Cancer to be held on Saturday 14 October at QCWT. Zonta Stanthorpe looks forward to hosting District 22 Birthing Kit Foundation Australia Director Simone Ricketts as our guest speaker.

The event is a great opportunity for ladies to dress up and enjoy a beautiful lunch with friends while raising money for a great cause. Funds raised at this event will be distributed to breast cancer research and patient care, within Queensland and locally.

Limited online tickets are available from www.events.humanitix.com/zonta-stanthorpe-pink-lunch

For further enquiries please contact zontastanthorpe@gmail.com or Edith Boccari – 0402 261 098.
