Successful pre-loved clothing sale

On Monday 17 June, the Warwick Weight Crunchers hosted its annual pre-loved clothing sale at the Churches of Christ auditorium, drawing a large crowd eager to snag a bargain.

With most items priced at just $1, the event provided an affordable way for community members to purchase quality clothing amidst rising living costs.

Campus manager of Warwick Churches of Christ Noo Shepherd said the event was a huge success.

“In the current climate with the cost of living through the roof, an event such as this is important to give our community the opportunity to purchase quality clothing for an extremely reasonable price,“ she said.

The sale featured a wide selection of warmer clothes and coats, which were in high demand as winter approaches.

At the end of the day, all proceeds from the sale were donated to the Churches of Christ One Table function centre.

The funds will contribute to the bi-annual Community Christmas lunch, an event that feeds community members on Christmas Day. The last luncheon welcomed over 90 people from various people seeking companionship on the holiday.

“We were able to welcome singles, couples, and even families doing it tough, community members without family or company on Christmas Day who just wanted to feel a part of something,“ Ms Shepherd said.

Warwick Weight Crunchers is a local support group that meets at One Table Cafe on Mondays at 9am, offering ideas, recipes, and friendship. For more information, please contact Liz at 0427 622 058 or Raylene at 0400 458 375.
