Artisans urged to promote themselves

Artisans from across the entire Southern Downs are being urged to register their interest in the Hand Made In Country network.
“Particularly if you’re making creations and not sure either how to take your work to the retail level, or if you’re looking for retail opportunities or even if you’re a retailer looking for quality hand made goods, Hand Made In Country is a great network that we believe will help facilitate the process from creation to commercial success,” project advisor Krista Hauritz said.
“We know there are a lot of creative people in the Southern Downs. It’s so evident across the region, but we really need to encourage more people to register interest in the project for Southern Downs to be included in developing the Hand Made In Country experience,” she said.
“I would urge anyone who is interested, whether it be artisan or market, to register, as time is running out. I am constantly amazed at the quality of creative work in our region. This project has so much potential. I would encourage anyone who’s interested to register,” regional tourism development officer Jules McMurtrie said.
