Part road closure for works in Fitzroy Street, Warwick

Roadworks in Fitzroy Street, Warwick, are expected to be completed by tomorrow, weather permitting.
As from last Thursday, the street has had a partial closure between Steele’s Bakery and Canning Street while road repairs are under way.
About 100 metres of road will be excavated and resurfaced during the project.
During works, only one lane of traffic will be open on this section of the road during working hours, for use by motorists travelling in a westerly direction and by local businesses and residents.
Access to Steele’s Bakery and Helen Harm Real Estate will be available. All other motorists will be redirected to a detour route.
The works are being completed now to ensure that the road is open in time for the start of the school year, when traffic increases to and from Warwick East State School on Fitzroy Street.
