Tune up time for Wintersong Carnival

Tenterfield’s Wintersong Carnival Workshops Program begins this Saturday with introductory classes for singers at the School of Arts.
Whether you have ambitions to be on stage, or simply want to sound better singing in the shower, from this week forward, there will be four workshops for singers/performer in all; “Introduction to Singing”, “Selling the Song”, “Mic and Stage” and finally the “Putting it Together Concert”.
The full program runs from now until April and aims to provide real skills in singing, performance, sound and lighting.
Musical educator Grant Ovenden leads off the first session at 10am with Peter Harris pitching in on key lessons. Bookings and prior payment is essential as spaces are filling fast.
If operating sound and lighting equipment interests you, the “Technical Workshop” is packed with useful information and hands on experience.
Classes are open to anyone from year five and upwards. Class sizes are limited, so get your enrollment form in as soon as possible.
Bookings and information are available at Tenterfield Hub in Rouse Street. Check out all the upcoming Wintersong workshops at www.wintersong.org.au
