Where is our time capsule?

The mysterious whereabouts of a time capsule buried in the grounds of the Yelarbon State School has become the talking point of the small community.
With the Yelarbon State School celebrating 100 years on Saturday, September 8, the plan was to dig up the time capsule and reveal its contents to all on the day, but no one can remember exactly where the capsule was buried.
School principal Phillipa Sly said the time capsule was reportedly buried to mark the 75th anniversary of the school.
“With changes to the grounds and buildings, it’s been difficult for people to recall the exact location,” Mrs Sly said.
“We’ve had plenty of suggestions. Some people remember it was placed under our sun dial, others believe it’s under the cricket pitch.
“We’ve even had a local searching with a metal detector, with no luck,” she said.
The Yelarbon State School Centenary Committee is asking anyone with information to contact the school on (07) 4675 1109.
