The RACQ CareFlight rescue helicopter performed two airlifts in the South West on Monday afternoon, both involving pregnant women.
At around 1pm, the crew flew to Warwick to airlift a mother who went into early labour with twins.
RACQ CareFlight Air Crewman Eddie Balarezo said the woman, in her 20s, was flown to the Mater Hospital in an attempt to stall the labour.
“She travelled comfortably and arrived at the Mater in a stable condition,” he said.
Upon completing this mission, the crew were immediately tasked to Kingaroy in the South West to airlift an 18-year-old female who was also suffering pregnancy complications.
She was airlifted to Toowoomba Base Hospital in a stable condition.
