Scott calls for swift action to help recovery

Federal LNP Member for Maranoa Bruce Scott said the Government must not allow vulnerable people affected by floodwaters in the electorate to slip through the cracks.

“I recognise the resilience of people across the electorate but, as the Federal Member, I need to be across any issues that may need to be addressed by the Federal Government,” Mr Scott said.

“If you have encountered any issues with your insurance company; and if you have experienced any loss or damage to your property or personal belongings – please contact my office.

“We’ve had contact with the Federal Minster’s office and, when the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements have been finalised, I anticipate parts of the Maranoa electorate will be able to access this funding support.

“There needs to be swift action to help people get back on their feet, as well as restoring roads damaged by floodwaters.”

To share your concerns, please contact Bruce Scott’s office in Roma on 1300 787 299 or in Dalby on 1300 301 964 for the cost of a local call.
