Oldies go hi-tech

By JONATHON HOWARD

WARWICK seniors now have access to a free computer tutition at the Warwick Men’s Shed in a bid to plug in our older generation.
The computer training, known as Broadband for Seniors, was funded by the Federal Government.
Member for Southern Downs, Lawrence Springborg, and Southern Downs Regional Council Mayor Peter Blundell joined with Men’s Shed members to officially open the seniors program on 20 June.
The computers, which are free to use, can be used by all seniors in the community provided they ring and make a booking.
Men’s Shed also needs more tutors to teach the seniors the basics about internet browsing and computer usage.
To book or to volunteer phone the Warwick Men’s Shed on 4667 1901.
