SOTE students have been busy

Our Grade 8 class were excited to visit the the Yarntopians' pop up French café last week.

The School of Total Education (SOTE) has been busy, with plenty of activities for their students to get involved in.

Their Year 10 students did a walk around the Mount Mathieson circuit with Mr Licence and Ms Dascalita for their third Outdoor Education session for 2022. The Mount Mathieson circuit starts at Spicers Gap and includes the historic Spicers Gap track.

The walking track also follows old logging tracks, passes through a variety of habitats, from rainforest to grassy woodland, and gives some spectacular views of Mount Mitchell and the northern section of the Main Range National Park.

The students moved to Aratula for lunch before returning to school later in the afternoon. The students enjoyed the hike through the different ecosystems on the Mount Mathieson Track and the scenic views of the Great Dividing Range.

SOTE’s Year 8 students also got the chance to visit the Yarntopians’ pop up French café last week during the Jumpers and Jazz in July Festival and enjoyed checking out the creativity and talent of the Yarntopians.
