Seeing stars

Whether you like to go outside at night to ponder the enormity of the universe just by looking upward or you prefer to use a little technology, there’s something magical about the night sky. Some people use their cameras to create very atmospheric photographs of star trails – like this picture taken out at Deuchar, halfway between Allora and Warwick. Others like to use telescopes to bring space much closer to their eye, and some love astrophotography, which they say is the best of all worlds – maybe even light years ahead! Last week astronomers put on a public stargazing night in Warwick. See our story inside.
