All your favourite fruit and veg

The apples shine so sweetly.

The spectacular constructions of the wall displays are one of the highlights of the Stanthorpe Show. These displays reflect the diversity and excellence of our region’s produce. Each one consists of hundreds pieces of fresh produce from all over the Granite Belt artistically arranged as well as an array of other local product.

Exhibiting fruit and vegetables at the show is a popular activity. As entrants, please check the schedule which shows guidelines before preparing the entry.

With the new school term about to start, it’s time to start planning your fruit and vegetables entries. The Primary School section is always popular with ‘Creatures’ made from local produce and artwork depicting our vibrant primary industry. We rely on our orchardists and vegetable growers to enter the tray competitions, but for the backyard gardener, bring along whatever produce you have and we will accommodate you.

The Scarecrow Competition is on again and we look forward to seeing the imaginations of our young ones, but we need entries in the adult section as well. The BIG pumpkins are an eye-opener to both locals and visitors to the district.

Our displays are in the main pavilion on the western end. For more information, please contact our stewards Gillian Boucher- bouchergr@gmail.com; Ron Anderson-merrylanderson@bigpond.com and Alan Carnell-awmecarnell@yahoo.com.au

All information to guide you with entries is on the show website www.stanthorpeshowgrounds.com.au Section F Schedule and Section G Schedule.

There are no entry fees as the produce is sold after the show. Prize money can be collected from the stewards.
