A focus on Stanthorpe

Adding a touch of glamour to the evening were Logan Steel, Peter Duncan and Erika Green.

The picturesque Braeside homestead and garden hosted the unveiling of the 45th edition of Regional Lifestyle magazine, a 228-page glossy publication highlighting the best of rural and regional New South Wales and southern Queensland.

Over 80 guests, including Council representatives, advertisers, and story contributors, gathered to celebrate the beauty and diversity of their region. The event was generously sponsored by Braeside Hospitality and Tobin Wines.

Attendees savoured delectable canapés crafted by Jason Costanzo of Giorgio’s Mobile Chef. The evening was hosted by former SDRC councillor and acclaimed poet, Marco Gliori, with country music singer James Blundell providing entertainment for the captivated audience.

Publisher and editor of Regional Lifestyle, Elizabeth Tickle, reflected on the magazine’s 11-year journey, stating, “Our Winter edition, showcasing Stanthorpe and its surroundings across 155 pages, has been our most extensive feature to date. It signifies an exciting partnership with the Southern Downs Regional Council.”

Elizabeth and her husband, Alex, credit this record-breaking edition to the supportive and welcoming community, filled with innovative business owners and residents with unique and inspiring stories. The region’s impressive annual events calendar also draws tourists from far and wide.

The latest issue of Regional Lifestyle is available at the Stanthorpe Newsagency and other newsagencies throughout the Southern Downs, as well as at many newsagents and selected outlets across NSW. It can also be read online. The upcoming edition, featuring Warwick, Allora, and Killarney, will be released in Spring 2024 and promises to be outstanding.
