Woman struck by vehicle

A woman aged in her 30s has been airlifted from Stanthorpe to Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital after allegedly being struck by a vehicle last night, Saturday 17 November.

It is understood the incident took place shortly before 10pm at the corner of Symes and Folkestone Streets.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman has said the woman suffered a leg injury and was taken to Stanthorpe Hospital.

A spokeswoman for RACQ LifeFlight said she was reportedly struck from behind by a car and injured while walking through town with a friend.

RACQ LifeFlight was called at 1.15am this morning, Sunday, to airlift the woman to hospital in Brisbane.
