The Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce and the Southern Free Times will hold a ‘Meet The Candidates’ event on Wednesday 11 March from 5.30pm at the Stanthorpe Exhibition Centre at the Stanthorpe Showgrounds. Mark the date in your diary, and start thinking about your questions for the candidates.

Alternately the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce will make question boxes available in the Stanthorpe town centre in the next few days for people who don’t have access to email.
It is anticipated that the March 11 event will be a similar format to the last meet the candidates event the Chamber hosted in 2016, with all the councillor candidates being able to set up a table from 5.30 – 7pm for community members to ask the candidates directly about the things that concern them.
The mayoral candidates will then be given the opportunity to respond to a set of questions but there will be no questions from the floor on the night.
WARWICK CHAMBER OF COMMERCE EVENTS…
• The Warwick Chamber of Commerce will hold a ‘Meet the Mayoral Candidates Breakfast’ event on Tuesday 10 March at the Hawker Road Function Centre, Warwick Golf Club and has invited all declared mayoral candidates to participate.

• The Warwick Chamber will also be hosting a ‘Meet the Candidate Event’ on Thursday 12 March at the Criterion Hotel Ballroom, Palmerin Street, Warwick, commencing at 5.30pm.
• All Candidates in the forthcoming local election have been invited to provide a brief introduction and their vision for the Southern Downs over the course of the next four years. A cash bar will be in operation and complimentary finger food will be on offer, following the candidate presentations.
