Organisers of Stanthorpe’s Market in the Mountains say in the interests of safety for all concerned and the Australian effort to slow the spread of the Coronavirus Covid-19 virus, the Stanthorpe Crafters and Hobbyists Association Inc. showcasing Market in the Mountains is cancelling the markets normally held on the second Sunday of the month whilst the pandemic runs its course.
“Unfortunately, this means that our next market Sunday April 12th will be cancelled,” a spokeswoman said.
“We will assess the May markets after taking the advice from the Health Department.
“The decision has not been taken lightly and the Committee is disappointed in cancelling the market but in these unprecedented times we believe the health of our stallholders and visitors to the market must come first.
“We will keep you informed of our next market – stay safe everybody.”
