Fatal collision involving two vehicles at Freestone

The Queensland Police Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a two-vehicle collision which claimed the life of a man at Upper Freestone north-east of Warwick this morning, Thursday 16 April.

A Police Media statement released a short time ago says “preliminary information indicates the two vehicles collided on McMasters Road around 8:25am”.

“A 21-year-old Upper Freestone man, who was the driver of one of the vehicles, was declared deceased at the scene,” the police statement said.

“A 19-year-old female passenger in the same vehicle suffered serious injuries and has been flown to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

“A 35-year-old male driver of the second vehicle, also from Upper Freestone, was taken to Warwick Hospital with minor injuries.

“Anyone who witnessed the crash and has not yet spoken with police is asked to make contact.

“Investigations are ongoing.”
